Hall of Fame Names New Board Members, Elects Officers for 2010
The El Dorado Baseball Hall of Fame Board of Directors chose three new members and elected officers for 2010 at the February board meeting. New board members are Brad Macy, B.D. Parker and John Wallace. Macy fills an at-large open position. Parker will represent Butler Community College in place of Ev Kohls. Wallace fills the at-large postion long held by Oral Taylor.
Ev contributed a lot to the Hall including serving as Secretary for the last year and being the long-time emcee for the banquets. Oral was responsible for raising the funds, drawing the plans and serving as general contractor for the building of the Hall of Fame building as well as the new restrooms, concession stands, ticket booths and umpires room at McDonald Stadium.
Board members elected for 2010 are Sam Leben (Chairman), John Scanlon (Vice-Chairman), Brad Long (Secretary) and Brian Morrow (Treasurer).
