The Broncos are a well-respected summer baseball team today thanks to Rick Dreiling. Dreiling built the foundation for the Broncos. In his first season and the first for the Broncos under General Manager J.D. Schneider, Dreiling took the team to a second place finish in the National Baseball Congress World Series. After a seventh-place finish in 1988, Dreiling guided the Broncos to their first NBC title in 1989.
He finished the season 52-17 (.754). For managers with two or more seasons, Dreiling has the best winning percentage at .685 (139-64). In addition, he won 16 of 21 NBC games. Dreiling resigned as the Broncos Manager after 1989 to become the Athletic Director at Butler County Community College.
Rick and his wife Eileen have three children; Hana, Heidi and Harrison.
