J.D. Schneider

Schneider has produced 17 top 10 finishes in the NBC World Series. He took over what was then the Hutchinson Broncos in 1987 and moved the team to Wichita and then to El Dorado. They won the NBC World Series four times - 1989, 1990, 1996 and 1998. Schneider was inducted into the Kansas Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003 and the N.B.C Hall of Fame in 2006.

  • Took over leadership of the Broncos in 1996 with the first season being in 1987.
  • Has taken an active role in recruiting and shuffling players during each season.
  • Responsible for raising money each season
  • Hires and replaces every coach
  • Makes all major decisions
  • Has won four NBC titles
  • Recipient of Hap Dumont Award for Summer Excellence.
  • Won four Jayhawk League Crowns
  • J.D. played high school baseball at Kapaun High School from 1959-1962
